What's The Big Splash About Water Baptism?

If you want to get yourself in hot water, then debate the role and purpose of Water Baptism for a Christian. Some teach that infants should be baptized. Others say that water baptism is only reserved for "born again" believers. Some say that water should be sprinkled on the person. Some say poured. Others teach that you must be fully immersed in water. Some say that water baptism is necessary for salvation. Others say that it is only an "outward sign" or "testament" of your salvation. They all have Bible verses to back up their doctrine, but who is right?

Fox River Bible Church does not practice Water Baptism.

Although thousands of churches in the state practice water baptism, Fox River Bible Church is among many churches that do not water baptize in Illinois. Churches in Elgin that don't baptize have been in existence for many years. Fox River Bible Church believes and teaches that while water baptism was in effect at one time, it is no longer to be observed today. FRBC believes that all a saved person needs is a spiritual baptism referred to in 1 Corinthians 12:13, "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
